Faith Inspiring Words

Life’s Full Circle: A Journey of Faith and Perseverance.

Life begins in simplicity—a child taking their first breath, held tenderly in the hands of their Creator. And in its quiet conclusion, it ends in much the same way: one’s spirit returning to the arms of a loving God, as Ecclesiastes 12:7 reminds us, “The dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.” This divine symmetry underscores that life itself is God’s masterpiece, with a beginning rooted in promise and an ending crowned in grace.

These words “Life will finish the way it started,” calls us to reflect on the Creator’s unchanging hand through every season of our existence. From the innocence of infancy to the wisdom of age, God’s faithful presence remains constant. Psalm 90:2 declares, “Before the mountains were born or You gave birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” This continuity anchors us, reminding us that no matter how tumultuous our journey, life’s ultimate fulfillment is in returning to Him.

But here’s the paradox of life: while the outcome is assured in Christ, the path is often fraught with trials and resistance. This is where the second part shines with truth: “The devil has no capacity to stop you; he can only try to discourage you.” The Bible is rich with examples of God’s people overcoming such discouragement through faith and resilience.

Think of Job, whose trials seemed insurmountable. The enemy sought to break Job’s spirit, but he clung to his unshakable trust in God. In Job 1:12, the Lord allowed Satan to test Job, but only within limits, proving that the devil’s power is restrained by God’s sovereignty. Job’s eventual restoration in Job 42:10 illustrates that perseverance rooted in faith is never in vain. This truth resonates with the assurance found in 1 John 4:4: “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

Similarly, consider the Apostle Paul. The enemy’s attempts to thwart Paul’s mission were relentless—imprisonments, shipwrecks, beatings—but none of these could stop him. In fact, they only strengthened his resolve. Paul’s declaration in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,” is a testament to the power of perseverance in the face of opposition.

Perseverance is indeed the key. It’s a vital thread woven through the fabric of Scripture. Hebrews 12:1-2 exhorts us, “Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.” Here, the author encourages believers to remain steadfast, focusing not on the trials but on Christ, who endured the cross for our sake.

Even Jesus Himself exemplified this truth. In the wilderness, the devil sought to discourage Him by appealing to His physical needs, identity, and mission (Matthew 4:1-11). Yet, Jesus countered every temptation with the Word of God, demonstrating that perseverance is strengthened by Scripture and unwavering trust in the Father.

These words, “Life will finish the way it started, the devil have no capacity to stop you, he can only try to discourage you but perseverance is the key” when seen through the lens of Scripture, offer a roadmap for navigating life’s challenges. They remind us that discouragement is a tool of the enemy, but it’s ineffective against a heart fortified by faith. James 1:12 encapsulates this beautifully: “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

So, how do we cultivate this perseverance? It begins with anchoring ourselves in God’s promises. Romans 8:28 reassures us that “in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” This knowledge fuels our determination, enabling us to press on even when the road is steep. Prayer and Scripture become our lifeline, renewing our strength daily.

Moreover, the Bible encourages us to lean on one another. Galatians 6:2 calls us to “carry each other’s burdens,” reminding us that perseverance isn’t a solo endeavor. The community of believers becomes a source of encouragement, as seen in Hebrews 10:24-25: “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together… but encouraging one another.”

Ultimately, life’s journey is about faithfully finishing well. It’s about holding fast to God’s truth, even when circumstances seek to derail us. Philippians 1:6 gives us confidence in this pursuit: “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

In conclusion, these words “Life will finish the way it started…” encapsulate a timeless truth. Life will indeed finish as it started—in the hands of our Creator. The devil, though persistent in his attempts to discourage, is powerless against a heart steadfast in faith. And perseverance, fueled by God’s promises and sustained by His Spirit, is the key to running the race marked out for us.

So, let us press on with courage, knowing that the One who called us is faithful. As Paul encouraged the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
