Christianity Faith Inspiring Words God's Promise Preaching The Word Religion

The Lord will always find a way to do what He said He will do

The statement, “The Lord will always find a way to do what He said He will do, you have to trust the Lord,” is a powerful expression of faith in God’s ability to fulfill His promises. This phrase embodies the essence of the biblical concept of trust, which is central to the Christian faith. In this essay, we will explore this phrase in detail, examining its biblical roots, its theological implications, and its practical relevance for the modern Christian.

First, let us examine the biblical foundations of this phrase. The Bible is replete with examples of God fulfilling His promises in unexpected ways. Consider, for example, the story of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis. God promised them a son, but Sarah was barren and they were both advanced in age. Nevertheless, God fulfilled His promise by allowing Sarah to conceive and give birth to Isaac in their old age. This story demonstrates that God is not limited by human constraints and can fulfill His promises in ways that are beyond our understanding.

Another example of God fulfilling His promises is found in the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis. God promised Joseph that he would become a great leader and that his family would bow down to him. However, Joseph’s journey to leadership was full of challenges and setbacks, including being sold into slavery and being thrown into prison. Nevertheless, God was faithful to His promise and eventually raised Joseph to a position of great authority in Egypt.

These stories, and many others like them, demonstrate that God is faithful to His promises and that He has the power to fulfill them in ways that are beyond our imagination. As the psalmist writes in Psalm 37:5, “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.”

However, the phrase “you have to trust the Lord” is more than just a statement about God’s faithfulness to His promises. It also speaks to the importance of faith and trust in the Christian life. In the New Testament, the concept of faith is central to the teachings of Jesus and the apostles. In fact, Jesus himself emphasized the importance of faith when he said in Mark 11:22, “Have faith in God.”

Faith is a vital aspect of the Christian life because it is the means by which we are saved. As Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” In other words, our salvation is not something that we can earn or achieve through our own efforts. It is a gift from God that we receive through faith.

But faith is not just a one-time event that happens when we accept Christ as our Savior. It is an ongoing process of trusting in God and relying on Him for all aspects of our lives. As the writer of Hebrews puts it, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). In other words, faith is the confidence that God will fulfill His promises, even when we cannot see how.

This brings us back to the phrase “The Lord will always find a way to do what He said He will do.” When we trust in God, we are acknowledging that He is in control of our lives and that He has a plan for us. We may not always understand that plan or see how it will be fulfilled, but we can have faith that God will find a way to accomplish what He has promised.

Of course, this does not mean that we sit back and do nothing, expecting God to do everything for us. As James writes in his epistle, “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
